Youth, the vibrant force of any organization, church family, and nation. Youth are important to the United Pentecostal Church of DeKalb.  They are integregated in just about every program.  Led by Administrator, Philip Stroud, they take part in many weekly activities: Youth prayer, Comfort Care services, Worship services.  Through out the year, special activities, fund raising, and events are planned: Youth convention, seasonal parties, SFC relay, special outings and trips like National Youth Convention, Camps, Banquets, and youth services and revivals.

It makes for a busy calendar, and a team approach is needed for the various events. Brother Phil Stroud is a Masters student at Northern IlLinois University. He also serves an intern in the governmental offices of Lincolnwood, a suburb of Chicago.  He is joined by a number of other young people, who do a quality job as well.   Teresa Hedding serves as an Asst Administrator who keeps the program flowing offering input and ideas.  Karissa Dorf keeps tracks of records and keeps the bills paid.  Kendra Shered is the Social Chairman; she works keeping parties, dinners, and special events fun and exciting. David Hedding serves to make sure everyone has a ride to events.  Bethany and Joshua Coke help with the Comfort services, and keeping the kids on a positive spiritual direction.

Youth in UPC of DeKalb, is a lot of work, and appreciates the support and co-operation of many of the church families. Throughout the year, our college and career team Dan & Katie Piet, Jessica Perez, Paula Lindsay, Melissa Korn,  Megan Korn, Samantha and Maurice McDavid regularly round out the team helping in co-ordinating events, and helping in anyway to make the youth jobs easier.
