Moving to DeKalb in 2005, Ron & Janie Wright,
wanted to find a church to grow and develop in. Coming with three
lovely daughters, Bethany, Stephanie, and Tiffani, finding a vibrant
youth program was essential. Bro. Wright, who had begun regular
ministerial training, wanted to find a place that he could expand his
skill set and continue to be nurtured and challenged. Sis. Janie Wright
was looking for a place that would meet her families needs, and she
could develop as a musician.
Ron is a bi-vocational minister, who works with Nicor Gas customer
service department since 2006. Janie is a compliance officer for
Northwestern life who supervises over 200 agents.
Since coming to DeKalb, their family has grown in several ways. In
2006, both of their daughters married fine young men, Bethany to Joshua
Coke, and Stephanie to James Yates. Stephanie and James make their home
in Crystal Lake, IL, where James is a Barber and minister in training.
In 2007, they added three new grandbabies. Bethany and Josh Coke
had Kamden in January 2007, and a daughter Lillyan in November.
Stephanie and James added Malachi in December 2007.
Bro. Wright helps to conduct worship services as well preaching at the
Golden Hight Rise twice monthly. Janie plays the keyboard through
out the regular services as well as trains and oversees special music
productions. She teaches a an elementary Sunday School class grade
level 1-3, where with her husband, they team teach.
