Worship & Praise...
Kendra Dorf
"No, Mom
that's not right!", declared Kendra at age 5. Music and songs had to be done the
right way to young Kendra, and things haven't changed. When one comes to the United
Pentecostal Church, they are sure to notice Kendra's vibrant and inspiring keyboard
selections. Starting when she was 5 years old, Kendra has been a lifelong student of
music. She studied keyboard from a number of talented and resourceful Pentecostal
musicians. She gleans from the best, and adds to her ever growing talent for God.
Vital Statistics:
She not only plays in our worship services and choir, but also plays
for State-wide choirs, camps, and special services. She is a sought after musician for
weddings, rallies, and special meetings. Moving with her family to DeKalb in 1993, Kendra
has grown up in DeKalb, and has been a blessing even as a young person. One of our first
Sunday School students, she has been involved in Bus Ministry, College Ministry, Youth
Ministry, and now is a Sunday School teacher for the Kindergarten/First Grade classroom.
Born
in 1982, she shares her Holy Ghost Birthday with Pastor Davis' Birthday, January 21st.
Kendra graduated High School from Genoa Christian School in 2000, at the top of her class.
She successfully completed her Registered Nurse training at Kishwaukee College in May of
2003. Employed locally by a firm that specializes in kidney dialysis, she wants to
help others who are suffering medical needs. Our church feels richly blessed to have her
influence and ministry.
